Transformational Learning Circles (TLCs)

I aspire to rehumanise leadership development through evidence based experiential work that helps leaders bridge the knowing-doing gap.

TLC´s are 6 to 12-month programmes for a select group of participants centred around a particular topic.  Rather than discuss theoretical constructs, the group is the vehicle for participants to explore their experience of themselves and each other in relation to the topic.  Participants get the benefit of addressing individual development goals whilst simultaneously honing their ability to listen deeply, attune to others, observe subtle signals and express thoughts, feelings and feedback.

The type of work TLC participants encounter, mirrors the ambiguity, complexity, and tensions inherent in everyday leadership; participants learn through the present moment rather than models.

Relational work is transformational work.  TLC participants are required to engage fully with themselves and each other rather than being passive consumers of learning. Groups are kept deliberately small to foster psychological safety and intimacy and, where possible, structured to maximise diversity.  Participants are selected based on their motivation and willingness to engage in this type of work.

I have been leading groups for over 10 years, and in my experience, the level of transformation achieved is more significant and affirming than traditional learning approaches.

TLCs, can be focused on any topic and customised for almost any population/seniority/purpose.  Programmes are both open enrollment and company-specific.  Some examples of TLC programmes include:

  • Women´s leadership circles

  • Career inflection circles

  • Career transition circles

  • Resilience and wellbeing circles

  • Peer coaching and supervision circles

  • DE&I circles

  • Unconscious group dynamics circles

Testimonials

“The word that comes to mind as I think of Natalie is "fire".  Natalie has a lovely warmth in the way she communicates and speaks so clearly in empathy with people; but when she chooses to speak really honestly…. that fire becomes a flame that sparks so much great pointed energy.  There was never once when she spoke to a situation that didn't help move our group´s conversation to a new level.
